Seven Zones of Entertainment and Art
The park will span 5 hectares from Thủ Thiêm Tunnel to the elevated bridge and include 7 main zones: film studio & cinematic experience, film museum, movie-themed amusement park, riverside cinema, arts space, event stage, and marina.
A highlight is the outdoor film studio recreating 1900s Saigon with colonial architecture and bustling port life. Visitors can also experience filmmaking with AR/VR technologies.
Phase-Wise Development Plan
The project is planned in three phases. The first 2-3 years will focus on building key infrastructure, film studios, and a film museum. Later phases will expand with entertainment areas, film festivals, and tourism services.
Cultural Hub by the River
Once complete, the park will showcase Vietnamese cinema and serve as a creative cultural destination. An 8,000 m² outdoor event area will host screenings and community activities.
A commercial zone will offer themed drinks, script readings, artist meet-ups, and a film market. Water taxi docks and yacht berths are also planned.
Addressing Urban Green Space Gaps
With only 0.55 m² of green space per person in HCMC, the city plans to revitalize the Saigon River with 42 new parks and multifunctional spaces. The Thủ Thiêm film park will be a pioneering effort in this vision.
