Thu Thiem 4 Bridge (Ben Nghe) in District 7 with a total investment of 5,300 Billion VND (~USD 227 Million) promises to create a rebound for the area after it comes into operation

Last March, when the Department of Transport of Ho Chi Minh City proposed to rename 4 bridges Thu Thiem 1, 2, 3, 4 respectively to Thu Thiem, Ba Son, Doc Ngu and Ben Nghe, they are welcomed positively because the new naming will be easier to distinguish and contribute to preserving the historical names when assigning them together with the key projects of the city.

Thu Thiem Bridge has formed and immediately changed the face of the city and made easier connections for residents from Binh Thanh to Thu Thiem.

Ba Son Bridge is expected to be inaugurated before April 30, which will certainly be a big boost for traffic from District 1 to Thu Thiem and vice versa, connecting the existing administrative center with the new financial center.

Right after that, Ben Nghe Bridge will be launched by the end of this year, expected to complete the site clearance phase in the period 2022-2023.

Particularly, Doc Ngu Bridge is being studied for an investment plan.

Thu Thiem 4 Bridge (Ben Nghe) Will Be The Next Bridge To Be Expected

Ben Nghe Bridge has a total investment of more than 5,300 Billion VND (~USD 227 Million), including costs for bridge construction and relocation of Tan Thuan port. The project is expected to create leverage for the southern part of the city after completion.

What Benefits Will Ben Nghe Bridge Bring?

  1. People in the South, District 7, Phu My Hung, Nha Be… will easily access the center of Thu Thiem, Thu Duc City instead of having to move nearly 20km through the central areas of District 1 to reach the East area

  2. This project contributes to solve traffic jams on roads leading to District 1 such as Nguyen Tat Thanh, Kenh Te bridge, Huynh Tan Phat…

  3. In particular, the traffic of container trucks on Huynh Tan Phat, Ben Nghe and Nguyen Tat Thanh routes will be limited because Tan Thuan port will be relocated to Hiep Phuoc and Can Gio

“When Ben Nghe Bridge is formed, container trucks will no longer move into Tan Thuan port area. Ben Nghe route will be expanded double, embellished and developed the largest riverside park in the South, turning this road into one of the most beautiful riverside roads in Ho Chi Minh City”, Dr. Tran Nguyen Minh Hai – Real estate expert of Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City commented.
