Vietnam Party Chief Officially Visit China & Top Economic Highlights

General Party Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong Visited China
From October 30 to November 01, General Party Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and high-ranking Vietnamese delegates had an official visit to China at the invitation of China counterpart, Xi Jinping. “The trip was historical and successful in all aspects”, said Xi.
This is the first official bilateral visit of senior leaders of the two countries since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. Reporters in both countries assessed the visit underlines the importance that Vietnam and China give to their bilateral relationship, creating a driving force to promote friendly and strategic cooperation in all aspects.

The achieved results are expected to become motivation leading to positive transformation for Vietnam’s economy in the new period.

VinFast Cooperates CATL On Electric Vehicle Technology
On October 30, the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Strategic Cooperation between Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL) and VinFast Trading and Production Joint Stock Company took place in Osaka (Japan). The MOU highlighted co-development on smart chassis technology with integrated battery CTC (Cell to Chassis) for the electric vehicle product line.
The cooperation between CATL and VinFast is expected to boost the development of VinFast electric vehicle technology in Vietnam and globally
With the support from CATL, VinFast is expected to pioneer the launch of this technology on a global scale, create breakthroughs in battery technology and electrochemical mobility solutions, and contribute to achieving the goal of energy conversion to reduce carbon emission.
LEGO One-Billion-USD Factory To Be Built In Binh Duong
Morning November 3, LEGO Group (Denmark) held a groundbreaking ceremony of the billion-USD factory in southern HCMC. This is the 6th factory in the world, the 2nd in Asia and the first carbon-neutral factory of LEGO.
Talking about the reasons of choosing Vietnam to build a billion-dollar factory, Mr. Preben Elnef, vice president and general director of LEGO Vietnam Group, said that the Vietnamese market has great development potential and covers abilities to expand the supply network in Southeast Asia as well as globally.
At the same time, LEGO is committed to prioritizing local suppliers that aims to create new diversity in the supply chain.
LEGO factory in Vietnam is the 2nd largest factory in Asia
Some outstanding information about the LEGO factory project in Vietnam:
- Cover an area of 44ha, equivalent to 62 football fields in Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park III
- The first-ever LEGO carbon-neutral factory owning a solar power farm nearby
- Use energy-saving tools to adhere to the basic requirements of LEED Gold, a green construction certification method that is accepted all around the world
- Operated by more than 4,000 employees, production is planned to begin in 2024
The construction of the LEGO factory in Vietnam is expected to create a positive transformation for the local economy and community.
Grand Opening Emart Sala (Thu Duc City)
Morning November 3, Emart officially opened its newest hypermarket in Sala (Thu Thiem, Thu Duc City) welcoming customers to visit.
