Untouched Pristine Coastline As Ever Found
After a few days wandering through the paths of Van Hoa plateau, I finally reached the beach strip at the Bai Goc entrance.
Gentle sea breeze dispels the thirst. Sunny sunshine comes with dry weather, but not too hot. The Phu Yen upwelling* is cool as a reminder to myself not to forget bringing along a few cans of beer next time, soak in this cool sea water and enjoy them all.
There are only 18 coastal upwelling locations globally, one of these precious spots locates right in Tuy Hoa, Phu Yen carrying rich micronutrients and rare minerals which can be exported to many parts of the world.
*Upwelling is a oceanic phenomenon that regards to the cool, nutritious and thick water flow moves from deep to shallow water, replacing the hotter water. This water is formed by the regeneration of phytoplankton. Based on the biomass characteristics of seaweeds in the above areas, the upwelling can be identified by the low surface temperature and high concentration of cholorophyll-a.

With a coastline of 3,260 km long, excluding the islands, Vietnam, a S-shaped country in Asia, is favored quite a lot with this priceless gift of nature, the sea. While many have been fascinated with the pristine coast of Tuy Hoa City, Phu Yen, others admire the beauty of the famous beaches across the country such as Nha Trang or Da Nang:

At this point, many will question why Realtique has such an ocean nostalgia today?
It is not new to hear coastal property will be the focus of Vietnam’s real estate in the near future when Vietnam’s policy is speeding up the completion of two main infrastructure projects connecting North – South:
- North – South expressway project CT.01: with a total length of 1,811 km, the beginning is Phap Van intersection (Hanoi) and the end is Cha Va intersection (Can Tho). The controlling points of the expressway have also been identified, located in the East Transport Corridor, which runs almost parallel to the existing National Highway 1A. The North – South Expressway is built with 16 sections as the following points: Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Nha Trang, Phan Thiet, Dau Giay, Long Thanh, Ben Luc, Trung Luong, My Thuan and Can Tho.
North – South expressway project CT.01
- Vietnam Coastal Road: is under construction, about 3,041 km long and is also the third road running from North to South of Vietnam after National Highway 1A and North – South expressway project CT.01. This route is built on the basis of renewing or upgrading and expanding a number of existing coastal sections (including national highways, provincial roads, sea dikes…) under Decision No. 129/2010/QD- TTg Hanoi, January 18, 2010, on the approval of the detailed planning of Vietnam’s coastal roads. The coastal road starts from Nui Do port, Mui Ngoc, Binh Ngoc commune, Mong Cai City, Quang Ninh to Ha Tien and Kien Giang border gates with a length of about 3,041 km, passing through all 28 provinces and Vietnam coastal cities. Specific directions of the coastal road route are attached in the Appendix of the Decision No. 129/2010/QD-TTg above.
